SPEAK TO YOUR STORM! #PraythePandemicAway

Tell my children, that during this unprecedented time this is not a time to be outside the will of God, this is not the time to be an unbeliever, this is not a time to be skipping out on sitting at my feet. This is the time to pray without ceasing, simply seeking my face like never before. This is a time for Christians to be a dominant integral part of society (For such a time as this). During this time of being impacted by the global pandemic, The Church needs to arise and GO FORTH. This is the time to be distracted. This plague will not harm the righteous!

During hard times, its easier to play it safe. It is safer to worry, to fret, to be anxious when we are living in this world and constantly consumed by what we see. God, is telling his people. "During this time, cling to me!' I am a good father and see your pain. I can feel and hear all that you are going through. In my prayer time on March 21st, 2020 God shared this verse with my heart. The book of Revelations is powerful and intimidating. However, it is very real and rich in conveying the truth of God and the end times. Revelation 21:3 states "And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold the tabernacle of God is with men and he shall dwell with them and they shall be his people and God himself shall be with them."

The most important verse 4 reads "And God shall wipe away all the tears from their EYES; there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain in the former things are passed away. This verse is critical because, amid a global pandemic, where mass hysteria and fear is being pushed by the media, we forget how BIG our God is. Our father Daddy God, is not only a healer but a comforter. We won't hurt always! God will comfort us amid pain, fear, anxiety, and uncertainty. Don't take the bait of the masses or the enemy! Instead of clinging to negative emotions, why don't we focus on positive emotions such as joy, peace, love, and kindness? We don't have to react like the world. This is why we must submit to the Holy Spirit and kill out FLESH daily! The bible tells us "So I say, walk by the spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh." (Galatians 5:16).

Our focus has been misplaced. We no longer have placed our desires and focus on God. We don't desire to commune with him or check with him before we act. We do the opposite. We act and then check in with God. Our attention and hope are placed in our income, career, job, relationship. Whatever that can catch our attention at that time. We have become selfish people, living in an individualistic self-serving society. We do not extend kindness to others or take the time to go out our own way!

Fear is a tactic enemy and brothers and sisters! I am telling you that you won't have to lose your mind because the world is! Fear is not of God. 2 Timothy 1:7 states "For God hath not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and a sound mind." So if God hath given us it is a tactic used by the enemy. It is a natural response but it is a painful and demonic spirit. This is a common verse but how many of us take the time to apply it? It challenged myself to commit thirty days to say this when you first wake up. For me, it is during my morning devotional.

Let's backtrack to the beginning scripture of Revelation. Revelation 21:8 talks about the power of fear and the individuals who will not convene with the father but will be cast into the lake of fire! Verse 8 states "But the fearful and unbelieving and abominable, murderers, whoremongers, sorcerers, adulters, all liars shall have their part in the lake of fire. Which burneth fire and brimstone, which is the second death." (Rev 21:8 KJV). You cannot be full of fear and become the person God called you to be. Hear me, you cannot operate in fear and faith. The two WILL NEVER go hand in hand!

Prayer for COVID-19:  Father God, I come to you humbly as I know how to. God, your children need you in this time of a global pandemic. We are in a time of fear, anxiety, uncertainty and we need you to heal our world. We are fretful. We are desperate. Help us not to miss you in this time, but understand its bigger than us!We are asking you to take it away from us God. We are praying for everyone whom it has affected. Please cure and allow those affected to make a grand recovery. Lord, we cannot do this without you. We cannot move without you. You are mighty, sovereign, and King of Kings. Almighty God, Our country needs you...Our world needs you. In Jesus Name Amen.
